I love public transport. The bus is my other car. I back the Congestion Charge (then again, I don't drive so don't particularly care abotu costs). I got over my fear of the train. However, what I cannot stand are some of the people.
Like today, I was on a packed tube. An elderly woman barely managed to squeeze on because there were people blocking the entrance. Thankfully, a man, looking also quite old and weary, got up for her. I would have done so was it not for physical problems. Then the elderly woman got off, but instead of letting the man take his seat back, this woman just sat herself down ignoring the looks of disbelief around her. And she looked healthy enough.
And then you have those who think they're at home. The ones who remove footwear when the bus is already packed and smelly are really gross. I can't stand it. Or chew gum like the idea of closing their mouth repulses them. I'll put my hands over my ears if I don't have my iPod. Sometimes I feel sorry for the women who apply make up on the bus. There's this one woman who looks better when she gets on the bus than when she gets off.
The bus drivers are nightmares as well, some of them. I was on the bus once and a woman came running up to the bus, knocking on the door with all her might to get on. The bus driver had only closed the door moments before, but she still drove off, even with the poor woman begging her to open the door. What kind of cruelty is that?!!
That's happened to me before. Usually I swear under my breath and wonder how to tell my mum I have yet another late detention or run to the next bus stop if I know I have a chance. I love seeing their faces when I pull a face at them as I get on.
Does anyone else have problems with people on public transport or bus drivers?

OOOOOH! I hate stupid bus drivers. I hate most of them. especially during early school mornings. Most mornings, i used to get two buses to school. When the bus arrives at the interchange bus stop, and the bus that i need to get has already come, they woudlnt let me in, even a few split seconds after they have closed the doors. Its very intolerant, cruel, selfish and did i mention cruel?
Not just that, the bus usually doesnt go right away because of the traffic, so after it shuts the door, it stops to wait for the lights. Even at that point they wont let me in. when that happens i have to wait another 5-10 mins to get on the next one. Which is highly undesirable! Gah! i share you agony!
Oh no, school starts again soon! Bus drivers will be even crankier this year after a summer of demanding Oyster cards from kids who look a lot older than 15. I should buy black running shoes, and wear them to school instead. I might have a chance of catching the bus. At least I learnt a two important lessons this summer:
- If you see a cranky looking woman eyeing up the left behind Metro next to you, leave it well alone or you are in for a bus ride full of tutting every other minute and loud sighing followed by mumbles of todays youth. It's not worth it.
- If it's hot, then don't get on a packed bus full stop. Be late to wherever you're going. You will die in the heat, or come out like you've just been to a sauna.

I've never been on the bus.. So i dont know about that but on the train I hate the people on their mobiles and they literally yell down the phone. I always go home and tell my mum about their one sided conversation..because you cant help but listen to it. Even my music doesnt cover the noise.

That happens as well on the bus...it's really annoying. Especially when you can hear them shouting instructions on how to turn on the cooker, where the socks are or giving a second by second description of what they're doing:
'No love, I'm not there yet. I'm stuck in traffic. Yeah, it's just packed. The buses aren't moving. Sorry, hold . I've gotta scratch my nose. That's better. What were you saying about Margie's boob job?'
By the time they/you get of the bus/train, you want to strangle them. It's kinda like the people who decide to have a convo across the bus. You just wonder if it wouldn't be easier for them to move closer together...

There's nothing wrong with that. I myself have never been on a plane.
