An avatar is the picture which is displayed under your username and rank. Displaying your own avatar is easy. Go to your user cp and click edit options, go to the bottom of the page to the avatar control panel. Here you can upload a picture from your computer or from the internet. If you want to upload a picture from your computer, click the browse button and locate the picture. If you want to use a picture from somewhere on the internet, type in its address.
Avatars can be no larger than 35KB in file size and no larger than 100 pixels high by 100 pixels wide which is this big...
To check how big an image is, right click on it and go to properties at the bottom. Look under dimensions and you'll see how big it is.
if u go into any picture editing programme and click on image resize it should let you select to change the dimensions, and there should be an option to let you do that in pixels (well mine duz) or jus play with the dimensions till it is small enough
