well i was laying on the floor and i was right next to the wooden part of my bed. i kicked it like 3 times (not even relizing it) while reading and my tv just turned on! it's not old and doesn't have anything wrong with it or anything! it was just plain creepy!

Thats happend i few times to me! *i find it freaky as all heck!* but i found out that it can be caused by something alive (in my case a gecko) can run into a socket and triger the TV to turn on. You kicking on your bed might have frightned the 'thing' and caused this. or you have a possesed TV, whatever comes first! tell us how you get on!!

I have heared of this happening so many times to people of different backgrounds.
Most of the times it is something that can be explained like dodgy wiring to the tv itself

But there is always the spirit in the house explanation that is always a possibility ,some people say this is the beginning of a spirit trying to make contact ,or just there to be a pain in the *** but whatever it is it might be an idea to look into the history of the place you live in or the area you are in ,have you recently aquired an object that does'nt quite feel right or look right something like that ,as things like this can bring in some unwanted energy
