Re: philospohy of religion

You lost me on the last sentence (well, the second last sentence, I understood "If that makes sense" perfectly well...)

Re: philospohy of religion

"It completely does away with the dualism and installs the very quintessense of denial of aid in the form of masquerading as being nothing but aid."

Religion's method of reaching the goal of what is right and what is wrong (the dualism) works in a way that the wrong portion is done away with in favor of the illusion that the dualism still exists. With the ignoring of the wrong portion of the dualism, and the belief that only the right portion is being followed subsequently, religion fools itself by turning a blind eye to the wrong portion which they deny. This leads to nihlism.

Re: philospohy of religion

You're welcome.

As much as I have a hatred for religion, I must admit that they make great arguement starters and ways to get your point across. Perhaps they should remain for that reason alone?

Re: philospohy of religion

Re: philospohy of religion

Lol. I was kidding. I have simply run out of things to say on this topic until I'm presented with an arguement.

But yes, I meant that if you want to cause hatred between people, there's no better way then to attack their religion.

Re: philospohy of religion

I see.

I wonder if Jesus knew that his teachings would develop into the sorry state it is in today or if he knew how many people would come to harm in the name of him. Or if Constantine knew what would arise by declaring Jesus' teachings an official religion.
