Exclamation I say that the problem with the curch today is religon

think of me what you like but it is. Or more it's the extremely religous people they are in so perfect of an alighment with their tradisions and ideals that they cannot see when someones ideas make more sence or are just plain better and if you(or me) don't under stand why they think that way then they won't explain or at least not without some snide unnessary statement put in there and alot of them are not even religous they just have been there so long that every one thinks of them rlegiously so they develop a misshape in their additude thinking that they know more about chrisanity or jewdisim or whatever than anyone else apart from the pastor(most of the time) and if you don't agree intirely with this then tell me what your side of it is

(please excuse my poor use of spelling, grammer, vocabulary, capitalzation,or punktuation)

That's one fucking long run-on sentence.

Okay, let's see if I understood you correctly.. You think that religious people are too closed-minded, and that they won't accept anything new?

I partially agree; I think some people are becoming less involved in the church and that results in them only following what they know to follow.

I agree in terms of i think some parts of the church are too close-minded and stuck in tradition, however i think its also close-minded to claim thats the entire church!
I'm a christian living in Britain, (where the church can b different to the one in America) and the church in Britain can b very dividing sometimes. Particularly the roman catholic church have lost their way by getting stuck in tradition and rules, but a lot of christians aren't like that!
Younger christians here are into loads of stuff, louder more upbeat Worship music using all sorts of styles (Rock, rap, hip-hop) and are trying to show people that church isnt just boring hymns and dull sermons. Church can be fun u know!

I disagree.

You comment on that the church is stuck in its own little circle not accepting new ideals, ideas or such like. *removed*

If anything the church is changing more and more everyday, so much so i stopped going full-stop. This also must be seen in that Christainity has different denominations, Catholic and Protestant being most popular. Catholic are very... strange in a sense of spirital beings, (the case of using wafer bread in communion so it almost melts in your mouth so you do not hurt the body of Christ... see?) Prostant are much more down to earth and therefore change a lot more with the times.

Since when have you seen a monk walking around in old fibre robes and hoods with shaved heads offering indulgences? Maybe the occasional nun driving a GTi. And finally christainity are putting forward one of the best ideas yet... A TV AD FOR IT! I can't wait to see it... i might just buy an advance screening.

Perhaps you seem to forget what Religon is based upon... Christainity is mainly based on the teachings of Christ from New and Old testaments. For you cannot change what Christ said, only consrue it digustingly.

Oh and "neopetking", may i suggest some night time reading, say one of the most common books found in almost everyhome, sometimes made by the most famous of universities (no i was not going to say "Bible" but thats good as well)... called the Dictionary? You should know what i mean and other people should agree with me when i say...

Every time, you write a word with MORE then two syllables, please for the love of common language; consult the "Dictionary". It is full of useful info such as, what the word means, how to prenouce it and - the bit you need the most - how to S-P-E-L-L it. I do not mind the slip of the mind, tounge or finger from time to time, but that was an utter disgrace. But in order to furfill my new years resolution, no offense.

The problem with the world (& church) is people believing that their opinion is completely and absolutely correct. When people start believing that, intolerance and hate begin. But when people go down the opposite road, most religions fall apart because they completely depend on it being the real and only way for salvation.

The only way that people can be peaceful is when either 1) everyone believes the same thing; or 2) everyone respects everyone elses beliefs. #2 would only happen if there was a major reform in theology to say that their religion might not be correct. The problem is that people are greatly attached to their beliefs and do not want change.

There was something, which i particularly like, that the Archbishop of Canterbury said in one of his sunday masses. It was related to the extremists, particularly muslim extortionist and extremists.

He said that (para-phrasing begins):
What a feeble god it is and bent belief to have people to do its bidding for him. If god is allpowerful, omniscient and benevolent, (s)he wouldnt require people to act out such as hijad (holy war - correct me if im wrong). It's an insult to the god to have this kind of belief ultimately.

Along those lines. It irritates me so much when people who come around homes, especially some jehova witnesses and muslims, get patronising, assertive, ignorant and self-centred once you tell them you dont believe in either of what they believe in. Then they go on saying...you will be go to hell and only god can take you out of it. I say.. thank you! you have just ruined my day. Go and harass others!
