i know that, but i have never been interested in christianity (or any of religion for that matter), i don't believe any of it and i don't understand the people that do...although i have no problem with that, people can believe what they like.

i think that the most important bits of religion is the idea of "do good to others unselfishly" and not the I AM GOD, THEREFORE BESEECH ME!!! idea...
the other beliefs and ideas about homosexuality, abortion, promiscuity, and other blah blah doesnt really interest me...
as far as im concerned religion is somewhat a medium of morals and values which people need to uphold in order to live happily and harmoniously together...
i swayed away from catholicism and islam when i found out alot of the history (catholicism) and the present times (islam portrayed and interpreted by the mass public) ... and ultimately all of religion...because instead of it representing the source of all good, it was, and now, becoming the source of evil, in my humblest rather limited perception...
therefore the i dont believe in Christ, (which although he was said to have saved mankind's sins - very thoughtful of him) Allah, follow the Buddha's footsteps in reaching enlightenment and the gods of Hindu - because the differences of belief actually irritates me..
im babbling again..ill shut up now...

I believe in God but not structured religon, to me God is something that I believe in, I am the only one who can tell me what my God is like, if that makes sense? I dunno, but I believe that everybody has their own and that's fine, I mean honestly if there is a God then why would he send the majority of people to Hell for not believing in him particularly, I kinda like the wicca approach to God, but i do believe in the Bible.

If God existed, this world would be perfect.
Assuming God is omnibenevolent, He would want to create happiness, and being omnipotent, he could create a perfect world. But this world has pain and is not perfect.

THAT is so true! I think the belief that "their" god is omnibenevolent is a failed propaganda.

i could believe in a god, although not as a being. i think of it as everything around us...kind of like mother nature i suppose, it would seem highly unlikely that there is any possible being that could actually have created everything..and if so, what created it? ....i guess i'm more likely to go by the scientifically proven stuff than faith and religion.

yeah..i seriously think there is such a thing as God. sometimes it freaks me out to believe it. no matter how hard i try, i can't NOT believe in God. but once in a while i want to be an atheist or something cuz when i think about God i think about dying and it's scary!!! God is apparent and i have seen that in many ways. my angel like encounters proves that for one (i tell about them in the paranormal section). sometimes i see shadows in the sky and the gates of heaven. i couldn't believe what i was seeing so i wanted to see if i really was seeing what i thought i was and looked all around the sky for proof but when i looked to one part of the sky, there was a big X there. to this day i still believe that God was telling me not to nose around looking for the 'unknown' world, like it was a secret and ill see it when i get there. i guess it's not meant for the living to know all about. all the stuff i heard about my grandma calling out to her husband b4 she died and my father seeing heaven, having a near death experience b4 i was born..idk if i believe that though cuz i only know that from word of mouth and how could i really know unless i was actually there to witness.

Re: do you believe in a god??
I guess it depends on your definition of the word god, what does "god" as a word mean to you?
Most of the time I consider myself agnostic.

Re: do you believe in a god??
I'm 100% certain that the God of the Bible, the Tanakh, and the Qur'an doesn't exist. In the very slight chance that a god exists, I don't believe any religion has identified the correct one or ever will. I have seen no evidence to make me believe in a god, and have seen evidence to point against it. Therefore, I don't believe in god. And I don't believe that having faith is sufficient to giving me the acknowledgment of the existence or the lack of existence of a god. Faith is not wanting to know what is true. It's futile to merely search through the multitudes of religions and gods in an attempt to find one which corresponds with you. If you happen to find one, you must give yourself a dose of self-denial in order to ensure that you commit yourself entirely to this god. Such an ideal is fit only for those which practice extreme perspectivism.
