It's not so much how you spell your words, as how you lack spelling your words. If you're going to try to get a point across, you want people to take you seriously. And, for people to take you seriously, you want people to know (or atleast think) that you have the intelligence to type/spell better then a first grader. Besides, prieraceae didn't mean anything by it. He's just the resident troll.

But, this conversation isn't about religion. So, if you wish to continue it, perhaps we should make it such.

Re: Do you believe in a God?

I'm Christian. I've read some of the bible. When I was younger I was more active in church going and bible study. I don't have as much time anymore, but I still pray when I can and I still believe in what I used to study.

Re: do you believe in a god??

I believe in a god of my own conception, its also the same idea that 12 step programs utilize for recovering addicts, amazingly it works. If it can help those, I am sure it can help me.

The 12 step program doesn't call for a god of one's own conception, though. It involves the admittance of a lack of power within the self, and the subsequent cognition of an external god.

Re: do you believe in a god??

RNarcisism did you read the bit in the Holy Qu'ran where it mentions the seas don't mingle with one other?

Surah ar-Rahman, 19-20

.."He has let loose the two seas, converging together, with a barrier between them they do not break through.."

O! and the wrapping of muscles over bones in Surah al-mu'minun, 14

..."(We) then formed the drop into a clot and formed the clot into a lump and formed the lump into bones and clothed the bones in flesh; and then brought him into being as another creature. Blessed be God, the Best of Creators!"

All which have been proven by modern science.

But then, like you said its sound as if its been written by a person, who live more than 1400 years ago. However, it's very astonishing that he knew all that and was illiterate.

Totally frecky would you say so?

PS: Philosophy is all "if this or if that.." rather than going out in the real world and examining it. But then I may be wrong.

Also I have a great and convincing philosophical theory on this world being a Dream, Would you like to hear it?

Yes, it's called surface tension. It's not a new momentous discovery. Surface tension is performed when intermolecular force constricts water molecules and makes them expand from the molecular circumcenter. Then, deeper molecules exert a pulling force upon these molecules, inhibiting the size of the surface area balanced to it's resistance of permutation and compression. Though a extreme examination of such would indeed necessitate current day technology, it could still be seen 1400 years ago. All you would need to do is combine the two waters. Even then, Muslim scientists had an understanding of density and how it related to different capacities with the same matter.

Besides, the lines in question aren't used by Allah or anybody to explain how things work. It merely lists particular events (creation, revelation) to reaffirm the readers faith that Allah did indeed create such things.

Lol. Honestly, could you not think of better evidence to support your claims than this? Anthropotomy has existed since the dawn of scientific endeavors. The first huge endeavors were of the Eqyptians, who practiced such 1500 circa years before Jesus was born. When they delved in, and cut open the muscle to see bone, I do not doubt that they considered it a monumental discovery. But, it wouldn't take a modern anatomist to tell you that such information was common knowledge 1400 years ago.

If by modern you mean thousands of years old, then yes, you're correct. But so what? I should not think a religion would last long if it preached the un-existence of gravity of still practiced heliocentrism.

......

What are you talking about? It doesn't sound like it was written by a person who lived more than 1400 years ago. It was written by a person who lived more than 1400 years ago. And when did I say it did?

As well, what are you meaning in your last sentence? Who was illiterate? Not Muhammad, considering he wrote the book. Not his disciples, considering they read the Quran. So who?

No, it's not. And no, I wouldn't.

If you base a conclusion on the mere principle that "it is possible" then yes, that would be stupid. But anybody that would do such is not going to be regarded by any philosopher with merit.

Indeed. All that time you could spend explaining could be used for more profitable things. Such as registering on forums, for instance.
